The Department of Statistics, Computer Science, Applications "G. Parenti" (DiSIA) has been awarded as one of the 180 Departments of Excellence of Italian universities. The award consists of a five-year (2018-2022) Italian Ministry of Research and University (MIUR) special funding to strengthen and enhance the excellence in research and teaching.
This is a very prestigious award that acknowledges the outstanding research conducted by DiSIA members. The funding will support the scientific and strategic development project (website in italian) aimed at reinforcing the role of DiSIA as a reference center for the treatment, the analysis and the evaluation of data with a complex structure from a Data Science perspective.
