Ph.D. Programs

The DISIA is the administrative headquarters of the:

This PhD programme promotes the study of life-course trajectories and the significant events that shape them from a holistic and transdisciplinary perspective.

The programme brings together scholars from the biomedical, psychological, and sociodemographic fields. It aims to train a new generation of highly qualified, empirically oriented researchers, with a strong emphasis on quantitative methods and data analysis.

 

The DISIA is also responsible for the Statistics curriculum within the PhD Programme in Mathematics, Computer Science and Statistics at the University of Florence, coordinated by DIMAI.

The Statistics curriculum offers a three-year programme with advanced courses in the following research areas: Statistical models, Causal inference, Multivariate statistics, Statistical learning, Demographic and social models, Economic statistics, Computational statistics and Epidemiology.

 

DISIA contributes both to teaching activities and through participation in the Academic Boards of the following programmes:
